Lowest Price Web Hosting

Looking for the lowest price web hosting can be a waste of your time and your money.  Lowest price web hosting is a misleading term.  It is not really the lowest price when you consider all factors for building a successful website.

This page does not tell you how to find the lowest price hosting.  It tells you why you should not look for the lowest price hosting.  It tell you why you should pay more and substantially increase your chances for success.

Let’s assume you have decided to build a content website.  A content website is one in which you provide valuable information to your readers.  You are not planning to use pay per click (PPC) advertising to attract traffic, but rather, you are planning to bring free traffic to your website using search engine optimization (SEO).

You do not know much about SEO, but you think that you will learn it from experience.

If this is your approach, and you use the lowest price web hosting, you are likely doomed for failure.  That is rather harsh, but it is the truth.  Let’s see why this might be the case.

Have you researched the keywords for your planned website?  Have you found how many searches are performed for the keywords for your site?  Have you found the supply for those keywords?  Supply is the number of web pages on the Net with pages that match the keyword(s) that you are planning for your site.  This tells you the competition that you face on the Net.

If you have not researched the number of searches for your keyword, you might find that not enough people search for it to make your site profitable.  You might also find that it is a extremely popular keyword so it will be very difficult for you to rate high enough on the search results for the keyword to be successful.

To really bring traffic to your site from the search engines, you need to be above the “fold” on the first search results page.  The “fold” is the bottom of the screen when the search engine results page loads.  Most surfers will not scroll down below the fold so if you are not above it, you are invisible.  This usually means that you must be approximately in the 1 – 5 position on the search engine results page.

The lowest price web hosting will not provide you with the tools to determine this.  You can buy an annual subscription to Word Tracker to determine the number of searches ($$$).  You might search each word on Google to determine the popularity of the keyword and evaluate the competition.  There are paid services that will do this, but these add cost to your project.

What is the answer to finding the lowest priced web hosting?

The answer is to consider the TOTAL price including your time to create a successful website.  If you use the lowest price web hosting and fail, you have wasted a year of your life and lost opportunity.  This is much more valuable than saving a few dollars per month by choosing the lowest price web hosting.

My personal recommendation is to use Site Build It for your web hosting.  I make this recommendation from personal experience.

This website you are currently viewing is hosted by Site Build It (SBI).  It has been very successful for me.  I also have other SBI websites (www.retirement-jobs-online.com, and www.the-best-gps.com) which are also successful websites.  I attribute this success to SBI.

SBI has developed a very structured method for leading you through creating your website.  It makes you do extensive keyword research before you can even pick your domain name.  Did you know that your main keyword should be included in your domain name for best SEO results?  SBI will help you do this.

SBI has the best keyword research tool on the Net, bar none.  This tool will take your keyword and access Word Tracker (no additional cost to you) for the number of searches.  It will also give you back several hundred related keywords.  SBI then searches the Net for the supply so you can evaluate the competition.  This is all presented to you in a Master Key Word List which you can sort, evaluate, and manipulate to find your best keywords.

This phase of development for your website is the most important.  If you do not spend enough time planning, success will come slowly or not at all.

Here is a picture of the Master Keyword List for one of my keywords for this site.  It is for the keyword “web hosting”.  It is sorted by profitability for all words with Value Demand greater than 1000 and Profitability greater than 2000.

SBI Master Keyword List

This powerful keyword tool is included in the cost of the Site Build It web hosting.

I chose a keyword that applied to Site Build It (website builder web hosting) that has good volume and excellent profitability since there are not too many web pages with this keyword.

 Master Keyword List

When I click on the “www” icon, I get the first results page for each of the major search engines to check the competition.

From this I can determine if I can write better content than the competition and attract traffic for this keyword.

As you can see, Site Build It is really much more than just web hosting.  If you are interested in a definition of Site Build It, follow this link.  It will open a new page so close that page to return back here.

Site Build It also has very detailed and powerful instructions to lead you through building your website.  This will enable you to be successful even if you have no experience with building websites.  These instructions are in written or video form.
